We both got up at the exact same time, early. I don't know how either of us got any sleep last night anyways, with the awkward moments and the whole killing masks thing and all. I mean, after her chewing me out for killing the masks and all, I felt guilty. I probably only got sleep last night because of my pure exhaustion, because if I had and energy to stay up, I probably would have.
I got up to the smell of dew, a smell that is actually worth waking up too. Not fire, blood, smoke, or anything like that I was used to. That was nice. The only thing that made it a little less worth while was the "Get up rapist." that had immediately escaped Molly's lips. That made me feel SOOO much better. But, like she said, I got up and walked.
I decided to go into the Retreat a little, not to far to get yelled at about how "I could have killed myself" or some crap like that. I also just closed my eyes. I sat, and relaxed. Listened to the sounds of nature, the strange caws and rustles unrecognizable by my ears. I'll admit, some of the sounds were just strange.
When I got back, Molly had already destroyed the tent and was packed with the little supplies we had. (basically some crappy meat we killed something for.) She looked at me "Come on Klars, long day ahead of us." I was supprised she was back to normal already, I mean, after what she had been through.
"Well you're cheery." I remarked, quietly chuckling to myself that she actually didn't hate me for once. "What? No snappy remarks to ruin my day yet?"
"Nah, we've got a long way to go today. You don't think our problems with the masks are done yet do you. I mean, you killed 30 of them. We've got to get moving." She then picked up a pack, tossed it to me, then picked up the other pack, and we were on our way.
