Chapter 7: Uncovered

Its been 2 days, I'm too scared to go outside. I don't want to know this harsh reality, whether it good or bad. I just want home. I pondered what to do. I wasn't sure if I was hurt, so I just sat and waited for the OK. I felt fine, but you never know. Instead I watched this classics channel. I saw movies that I could have seen through my childhood, if that damned witch hadn't cursed me to this room.
It took me a moment. But then I finally I got to getting outside. And it was AMAZING!!! Nexus was one of the most brilliant cities I'd ever seen. It was absolutely gorgeous. I saw cars, flying cars, and everywhere was small. There were also different things. I saw that there were glass panels over the walkways, and they were covering the street. There was also a forest. Almost as if this whole city was built in the middle of the rainforest. It was freaky, and yet so surreal. I also saw some signs of poverty. Through the glass tunnels I could see gangs, people dying, and because of the maze of reflection and glass, I couldn't help. People were still homeless. There were no police either, as if the people were simply trusted.
I had to find Molly, whoever she was. She knew the forest, and she also knew the world, and apparently well. I had no idea how to find her though. I mean, I don't think there are any yellow pages in 3841, and according to the glass walls surrounding me, there weren't any busses. I had to figure out this new land. I was almost like a pioneer. (Other than the fact that there are probably 1000's of people here already) I was ready to figure out the land.
I decided to ask people, and not just any people, people who looked important. I mean, I didn't understand social statuses here but I figure the people surrounded by other people knew people. I first found a guy, he had some nice business attire on and I was suppressed how style hadn't changed much. I asked him, plain in simple, "Do you know any Molly's." It was plain and simple. And I got a plain and simple answer.
"Yes. About 5, now go." Was all he said.
"Please, I need to know." I answered his answer. No was just not going to be an answer. "I need it, I’m a reporter."
"GET AWAY!!!" He screamed, panicking and scrambling to get away from me as fast as they can. I guess reporter wasn't the best profession nowadays.
I I walked around. I had to get used to my surroundings. I looked, and found new things. I saw telephone booths, but they had computers in them. Like, Apple Ipad 98 computers. I had to check them out. I walked up to the booth. And when I got there, I realized it was more like and infinite database. I was amazed, like, Chuck Norris nuking China amazed. This was the new internet. I also saw I had a 10 minute time limit. This was going to be interesting. I knew to look up Molly, and get names, and jobs. And I also knew to look up what a reporter was. It was a pretty hard job in ten minutes, being new to all what lay before me. But I could make it happen. I mean, I've been in hell.
